Does an umbrella need instructions?

It was raining. I bought an folding umbrella at a convenience store on my way to the destination of that day. The store person asked me if I needed a card that has instructions attached to the products. I said no I don’t need it. I wondered why this umbrella needs it. You can just press the button on the handle and then it opens while it extend its pole. It’s easy.

The rain was getting heavy. I have an umbrella. Beautiful architecture, greens, especially when it rains, having explored the neighborhood, I looked at the button once again and noticed those triangle signs printed on it, which direct upward and the other. I wondered why this button has two triangles shows two directions. I pressed it anyways. Imagine what happens.

This was when I knew why this umbrella needs instructions.
